Connected breathing is an ancient Eastern practice that Dr. Christina Kessler has developed into a holistic method: HEAL (Holistic Energy and Breathwork). I guide my breathwork sessions based on this approach, known as Kessler Breathwork (also called Amo Breathwork).
Effects of a Breathwork Session
Through conscious breathing, your body is enriched with oxygen—you feel physically refreshed and full of energy. The body’s natural self-healing abilities are activated. Suppressed emotions and old wounds may surface, allowing them to be felt and acknowledged so they can eventually be released. Your energy begins to flow freely throughout the body, and blockages may dissolve.
Connected breathing creates connection—as the name suggests. You reconnect with yourself, your emotions, and your true essence. You also connect with others, as breathing together creates subtle energetic bonds. And you connect with your Higher Self—with the intelligence of life that can help guide you on your path.
Structure of a Breathwork Session
Breathwork sessions take place in individual or group settings and can be done lying down, sitting, standing, or in motion. The process is supported by carefully selected music and typically lasts about one hour. In my workshops, sessions usually take place lying in a circle. Individual sessions are tailored to each client and may be held lying down with music or in movement outdoors (see also → Breathwalk).
What arises during a breathwork session is always guided by your current process—where you are right now. The setting can offer a direction, such as breathing alone, with a partner, or in a group, indoors or outdoors. But ultimately, what emerges is what is ready to be seen and felt within you.
My Role During the Session
I guide you with empathy and intuition throughout the entire breathwork journey—whether in a group or one-to-one. With presence and experience, I sense exactly when you need support, whether it's in releasing blockages or navigating emotional challenges. You are not alone with your process—I’m here to hold space and guide you, so you can move through your breathwork experience feeling safe and supported.
Participation Terms
As a breathwork session can be a very intense process, there are health requirements for participation.
